Canada's oil, natural gas, electricity, and renewable energy supply sectors have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the challenges that the novel coronavirus has created for the economy (global and local), governments around the world have rolled out relief programs to minimize the impacts of the pandemic.
This webinar presents the analysis CERI conducted in 2020 on the value of some of the programs and shows the different levels of impacts on the different energy systems. This webinar is based on a four-part project that was designed to provide decision-makers with economic impact information in four energy sectors to help them understand the impacts of those recovery actions. While the height of the pandemic appears to be behind us, this information can be used for future major economic events such that decision-makers can be better prepared for the future.
